1967  AFL commissioner Al Davis and Pats owner Billy Sullivan fall out. Al accusing him of betraying him to the NFL. He could have accused Lamar Hunt and Ralph Wilson too.

1976  Al claims Mr. Sullivan refused to make a trade  involving Jim Plunkett because Mr. Sullivan refused to even talk to him.

1976  Ray Hamilton is called for roughing Raiders' qb Ken Stabler in a playoff game. Raiders rally from behind to win 24-21. The Patriot fans still talk about it. Oakland goes on to win the super bowl.

1978 Darryl Stingley, a Patriot's receiver, is paralyzed by fs Jack Tatum. A brawl starts and ends quickly. Mr. Tatum never really appologized to Stingley. Al and John Madden visit Mr. Stingly at the hospital. Patriots player later appologized for attacking Mr. Tatum.

1983 Pats trade unhappy cb Mike Haynes to Raiders. Raiders go on to win super bowl XVIII. Pats draft Irving Fryer.

1985  After beating Raiders in playoff game. Pat Sullivan runs on field and starts heckling Howie Long. Matt Millen attacks Mr. Sullivan who later said the victory was revenge for Mr. Stingley's injury.

1980's  Al and Billy Sullivan testify against each other in differnet court cases.

2001 After Tom Brady is sacked and fumbles. The Raiders get ball but referees overturn the fumble and the 'tuck rule' is made famous.

2006 Raiders trade starting receiver Doug Gabriel to Pats for no logical reason and a 5th round pick.

2007 Raiders trade pro-bowl receiver Randy Moss to Pats for 4th round pick. Patriots go to the super bowl.

2008 LaMont Jordan clears waivers in AFC West even though Denver is down to one running back and LJ isn't playing for K.C. Pats sign Jordan who later scores td run against Oakland.


2009 Raiders cut rookie draft pick Stryker Sulak who clears waivers in pass rusher desperate AFC West but goes straight to player rich New England for a tryout.

2009  Raiders trade veteran leader and pass rusher Derrick Burgess to Pats for draft choices.
